TRAMA

Si tratta di una miniserie in 3 episodi,
ambientati 10 anni dopo i noti fatti di 'Kira'.
Ep 1: 

Il primo episodio, Mishima-hen:
Shinse (Capitolo Mishima: Rinascita), mette i8l luce Tsukuro Mishima, 
un investigatore del 'Dipartimento
Prevenzione Death Note'.
Mishima riuscirà a risolvere il caso di un ex criminale, apparentemente morto di
ictus.

Il secondo episodio Ryûzaki-hen: Ishi (Capitolo Ryuzaki: Desiderio di morte), si concentra

sull'investigatore internazionale dal nome in codice 'Ryuzaki',ossia il successore di L. 
'Ryuzaki' finirà per accettare, nonostante un primo diniego, di risolvere un caso riguardante un nuovo
Kira.

Il terzo episodio Shien-hen: kyôshin (Capitolo Shien: Fanatismo), ci presenta Shien, un
cyberterrorista ammiratore di Kira.
La devozione di Shien nei confronti di Kira, risale a 10 anni prima: egli
infatti lo aveva 'liberato' 
dall'incubo dell'assassino dei suoi familiari, rimasto in
libertà perchè infermo di mente.
Shien, riceverà un 'Death Note'...

Questa miniserie
è il sequel dei Live Action del 2006:'DEATH NOTE' e 'Death Note: The Last Name,
ma è anche il
prequel del film 'Death Note: Light Up the New World', 
più elaborato e tecnicamente superiore ai film
precedenti.
Per gli appassionati, esiste anche uno spin off riguardante L: 'Death Note: L Change the
World'
